This is probably my grandsons most played with toy. It's so posably and just the right size for his little hands. I have heard that some little fingers have been pinched by the force of the string going back into the gargoyle. Just playing with it myself I could see how that could happen. That wasn't a problem for my grandson because he never really played with the gargoyle. He did carry little spidey where ever he went though. I don't know if this particular spider man is sold seperatly or not, but my grandson would have been just as happy without the gargoyle.
I'm giving it five stars because, I would buy it again just for the action figure.

Transformers Movie 2 Voyager Mixmaster

Transformers Movie 2 Voyager Mixmaster Review

Transformers Revenge of the Fallen Voyager Mixmaster is a mix of sorts:
It's a GREAT toy... but it's not big!

PROs:
-Alt (truck) mode is very solid and has a lot of detail like clear plastic headlights and windows, separately molded window mirrors (not even big Leader Optimus has his mirrors made as separate pieces from the doors), lots of molded-in detail and the already mentioned moveable pouring scoop. Proportions are very good also.
-Paint application is scarce but really there was not much to paint in the first place. It's limited to the silver on the wheels, decepticon insignia on the hood and the mixing drum, plus the big purple decepticon insignia on the drum. Also the red-white stripes on the sides are a nice touch.
-Robot mode is very accurate to the concept art (I've posted a comparison picture), but even better is the wide range of articulation that this toy has. Each arm alone has about 7 points of articulation!
The cannon can be placed either on its back or on top of its head to recreate the final battle scenes (or at least his final battle scene).


CONs:
- This toy is from a Voyager line, and therefore supposed to be bigger, like Ratchet or Ironhide. But it's small...
- Some joints are a little bit loose. The toy won't fall apart, but will need some support to hold some poses (in my pictures, the arms are being supported by its knees!). The panels on its feet are designed to fall apart instead of break, and will do so very frequently.
- "Kibble" is present in the form of the whole cab forming the robot's buttocks.
- I didn't even bother with the "third mode". It doesn't appear in the movie and looks silly.
- This is my fourth transformer toy (and the third one from the movies) that has been assembled wrong IN THE FACTORY. Usually the problem is hard to see, like a little piece or joint put backwards.
- The instruction sheet has the arrows poiting the wrong way in one step of the arms transformation. You can find some videos on the web that will help much more.

So, between the three currently released constructicons - Voyager Demolishor (who's got Scavenger's colors, by the way), Deluxe Rampage and Voyager Mixmaster, this one is THE BEST and the one I would recommend.

(Note that at this time, Long Haul is still a future release and there's no word about Scrapper)

Demolishor and Rampage are very hard to pose. The first one has one big wheel instead of feet and the second is a monopod. Mixmaster then gets two feet up! (Just because he's got no thumbs)

This toy is an excellent toy but the shipping was poor. The box arrived in such bad shape that the carded figure I ordered along with this was nearly destroyed. I also want to mention that the toy I received had been opened. Instead of going through the hassle of returning it only to get the replacements in as bad if not worse condition I just went to the store and bought new ones. The toy is great, it's the way they ship this thing that's awful.

This is by far the best looking Movie Wolverine figure released so far.I wouldn't really recommend it for kids because I think this figure would be better off being in display. The packaging is nice but I still think it takes too much space. The face looks very close to Hugh Jackman. The figure has 14 articulation points although it doesn't come close to the ones comparing to toybiz & hasbro figures. The joints are very sturdy & hidden. The paintjob is superb. My only complaint is the claws. Its not painted like he has adamantium claws but instead like he has bone claw. I know some people will definitely customize that. But I do like these claws better since they are very long & sturdier than any other Wolverine figures before. I think Hasbro should definitely take this new concept on Wolverine's claw & use them in their products. The figure also comes with a base but its not really that cool looking. I hope marvel select release another movie Wolverine figure with his trademark movie jacket with adamantium claws. That would be great. For a real Wolverine fan, this is a must have since its affordable. After all, not everyone can dish out 0 for the awesome Hot Toys figure.

We bought three of these, wearing different skins, as presents for a 2.5 year old. He understood the remote control concept and the lever and button are well designed for little kid's manipulation. He spent five hours on them and a similar time the bext day. He is still playing with them with interest and role play. The three models have diffierent individual speeds, so the kid must be alert to changing dynamics of overtaking and avoiding collision. A word to the wise: these diminished interest in NON motorised versions, but not completely, just made each style popular for different sessions. Buy plenty of track with junctions and switches. The themes of competition, heroism and compassion transferred over from the film. We were just delighted at the reception the toy got.

Sideshow's Invisible Man figure is easily one of my best purchases. You can also get a special edition where instead of his head there is a bandage being unwrapped so you obviously position his arms up there but I doubt you'll find it (I couldn't) and this product is pretty good too. First of all I guess I'll state that this, although kids would love it certainly not a toy and is more fragile than say a NECA brand action figure which are made to be played with. Sideshow figures put more detail into their products which make them much better display items. The figures have realistic looking clothing (you won't even find material on most of NECA its just painted on the plastic mold) and in the case with the Invisible Man he is weating multiple layers so underneath his winter trenchcoat you'll also find a drssing gown and underneath that a suit and tie.

Oh by the way, this invisible man is Griffin, the Claude Rains played character Griffin, from the 1933 H G Wells The Invisible Man movie based on the H G Wells 1897 published classic novel) of the same name.

Even more impressive is underneath all the clothing is actually a clear body. The bandages on his head feel like real bandages, as do the little tuffs of hair emerging from them. His eye goggles and fake nose easily come on and off leaving eye sockets behind when not in use.

He comes with a few accessories, the first was the eye goggles and fake nose, the next is a black hat, a beaker (which one assumes his invisible potion is in), a set of test tubes and wooden holding rack, a black doctors type bag of that era (which does open but is a bit difficult to thread the strap so don't do it is my advice) and a stand with the movie logo on it (which I can not work out how it is supposed to work but luckily he stands on his own and naturally looks better without it so I don't really care).

Like all Sideshow figures the packaging is made so you can take him out without wrecking it (something you can't do with NECA and most other brands, not that they make an Invisible man but hey you may be buying other creatures too). You can easily just slit the sticky tape at the top or bottom of the box and slide out the holding cell inside. The invisible man has been tied down (to stop any Chucky type action if he comes alive) by a clear plastic tie around his waste (hidden under his clothes if you decide never to open the box), a piece of metal bound through to the back of the plastic (you can not see the back of the plastic if do not open) binds both hands as does one around the neck. The bag is also tied down with a black wire (which you can see even if you don't open box) and the other stuff you just have to twist to remove.

The front of the box has the movie poster as a door type cover which you open up to see the invisible man and accessories on display. Honestly though open the box, it's easy to do with no damage and he will be much happier! You can then pose him how you like, put different accessories in his hands and yeah just enjoy him as a talking point to anyone who comes to visit.

Battlestar Galactica: Razor: Classic Cylon Raider Statue Review

Well the item comes in a very nice colourfull, sturdy box, with the logo Battlestar Gallactica RAZOR, and a picture of the contents on the front.The sides of the box show the logo of Pegasus,very nice in my opinion. The Raider itself is nicely done and looks the part, with good crisp detail on the whole to both top, and the underside of the ship. The cannons look the part with reasonble detail and although there is nothing wrong with them I feel they could have been done a bit better, but maybe thats me being over critical.There is a small degree of weathering to the ship which I feel could have been extended to the cockpit which is too much of a shiny black. To be critical if you hold the Raider to the light there are a few tiny casting flaws these however are really not that noticable but are there. The ship itself makes a nice visual display piece and captures the look of the heavy raider. The stand that it sits on is well designed and looks the part, and I feel fits in with the cylon image.In all a nice item that I feel could be made better by anyone who cared to add a bit more weathering highlights but again maybe thats just me not wanting a pristine looking vessel . The main reason I gave this 4 out of the five stars is mainly down to the pristine look of the ship which makes it a bit toy like, but some people prefer them that way. This now stands alonside my cylon raider and I have to say the two make great display pieces. Im sure in time I will appreciate them more and more.

Fantastic 4 Clobber 'N Crush Thing with Collapsing Sports Car Action Figure Review

I had a hard time deciding on which Thing figure to buy from the Fantastic Four movie since Series 1 and 2 came out at almost the same time and they both feature a Thing action figure. I compared the two the best I could without opening them and decided on "Clobber `N Crush" or "Clobberin' Time" Thing. Not because it's better than the other one, but because it seemed to have more of what I was looking for--I went for poseability and articulation rather than sound effects. Both figures do a very good job of looking like the Thing from the movie. The head sculpts and the Thing's rocky, orange exterior is a little different on both figures, but both are nice and I really like each one. However, Clobber `N Crush Thing is more articulated than the Thing from Series 1. Both arms and both legs can move up and down as well as in and out. The Series 1 Thing doesn't have this articulation on all limbs. Both arms have action features, too. The right arm can be pulled down and then let go so the Thing can deliver an upper cut-type punch. The left arm is operated by a button on his back. When you press the button, his left arm comes hammering down. His left hand is a fist and his right hand is slightly open. Personally, two fists would have been more of the Thing's style, but one is good, too. The button isn't too obvious, but it sticks out a little. The joints are all nice and tight and are placed very well on the figure--even his wrists. Despite his weight, the figure stands up very well. His ankles joints are done well so they can support the figure effectively. The only gripe I have is that this figure doesn't have the little "4" symbol on the side button of his boots like the Series 1 figure has. That would have been a nice detail to keep on the figure. But, that's not worth a bad rating in my mind. This figure also comes with a collapsible sports car accessory. You can have the Thing hit a button on the front of the car and it will look as if he crushed it. It's supposed to represent Johnny Storm's sports car in the movie after Thing crushes it into a ball. You can do with it as you choose, but you really don't need it to enjoy what the figure has to offer. So, if you're looking for a Thing action figure that is poseable, durable, and lots of fun-pick this one up. You'll be glad you did.

This figure looks great but it won't stand up at all on it's own (for me anyway). There is no articluation at all in the legs. It's just a rubber piece molded into the bottom of his robe/gown thingy. The heels of the feet have holes for putting it into a stand but I don't have a stand so I had to lean him against another piece.
